Acer eyeing an App Store for its SmartPhones

Official app stores for smartphones are available in plenty now. After the success of the Apple App Store Android, Blackberry, Samsung, Nokia, Windows Mobile etc all have taken the same route. The mad rush is now crazy with almost a new announcement on similar lines every week.
But this one is a real surprise for us. PC maker Acer that recently joined the smartphone bandwagon with its Tempo series of windows mobiles is now considering its own app store for its smart phones.
Initial Tempo series smart phones from Acer are based on the WM 6.1 OS, however they have several Windows Mobile 6.5 based handsets due for launch before year end.
While Microsoft had announced its own app marketplace for Windows Mobile at MWC 09; Acer’s own marketplace would allow it to get a share of the sales…!
