Acer’s Android+XP dualbooting netbook now on pre-order
October 14th, 2009 by Annkur

We have been hearing about the Acer Android netbook that’s gonna dualboot good ol’ Windows XP for some time now, and now it makes its silent entry. The Acer AOD250-1613 is on pre-order at Amazon with a price tag of US$349. The listing advertises the netbook with 9 hours of battery life, an Intel Atom 1.66GHz, 160GB, 1GB RAM (upgradeable to 2GB) and a 10′1″ display. Other goodies include a webcam, multitouch trackpad, multi card reader and 3 USB ports.
This is going to be an interesting launch with the word that Windows 7 is also going to be thrown in the mix as soon as next week (when the high-anticipated OS is going to release) ! Shall we also expect an Nvidia Ion-powered version soon?
