Android 2.2 Froyo Market, now available on Android 2.1

You already heard that paid apps are now available in India too. But have you noticed what else is available with the Android Market?

With the release of Froyo(Android 2.2) Google really made some great enhancements in Android Market App as well. The most awesome ones were Update All applications – which allows users to update multiple the applications at once, and another one was Enable Auto Update – which when selected for an application automatically updates the application if a new version is available.

Android Market Update All

The good news now is that, this week Google updated its Android Market 2.1 App and added the above mentioned two cool features. Now Android 2.1 users can also find these two super-useful features in the Android Market App. Users are not required to manually enable this feature they will automatically get the new Market App updated. (Don’t forget to switch on the Unable Software Updates option from Settings -> About Phone if you have not kept it enabled).

  • i Dont see any “update all” button in android market. although i do see paid apps and BUY button in market as its available in india now. ..can anyboyd let me know ..are they getting “Update All” button in android market in india

  • and i dont have any option as mentioned in blod ..Software Updates option from Settings -> About Phone….my firmware DDJC5

  • Well the Android Market Update All button is only visible if there are updated version of applications available which are already installed on your phone. So when you open Android Market and tap on Downloads and for the installed list of apps any updates are available then you’ll see Update All button. Similarly on the application page of installed pages you can see Allow Automatic Updating check box.
For second comment – System Software Update should be the first option available in Settings -> About Phone. Which phone are you using? are you sure its Android 2.1?
