It seems that Sony Ericsson is not looking to do a Motorola by going all out on Android. Reports are tickling in that the catchup game in the smartphone market for Sony Ericsson would involve some Windows Phone 7 push aswell.
According to Sony Ericsson’s CTO Jan Uddenfelt: “Android is definitely our focus, but we have not given up on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system, although it had a bit slow to take off. But Windows 7 Phone is on the roadmap.” – Via
Well if I am to guess, they have major Windows Phone 7 planning since a long time and the only thing that makes me think so is the ‘average’ performance/effort with the Android powered Xperia releases by Sony Ericsson. Windows Phone 7 would go on sale before year end and we would have a clear picture of where Sony Ericsson is headed!
