Apple about to announce 3G iPhone on 18th Sept?

Apple is holding a PRESS event on 18th September in UK. This goes in line with increasing rumors of a 3G iPhone to be offered on T-Mobile. However we decided to ignore the leaked T-mobile Ads, its seems something is finally coming.
Although major Apple announcements have been made earlier this month, we believe they might have just left something big enough for this one.
Apple recently crossed the 1million mark with the iPhone in the US (which i suppose happened sooner than expected) and now they seem to have begun marching ahead with their gold mining.
So is it a
- 3G iPhone or
- Simple plain announcement of carriers providing iPhone ??
