Its been crazy few hours in the iPhone world with the iPhone OS version 4.0 going live and the dev team releasing the unlocking tools that they were holding back for a long time now. Apparently the v3.1.3 of the iPhone OS had left out a lot of iPhone users with no unlocking method. While hackers did find out good workarounds, they didn’t release the same to see what new puzzle Apple throws at them in the iOS 4.
What we have release now is
- Ultrasn0w 0.93 – to unlock iPhone 3G / 3GS running – any baseband (firmware 3.1.3)
- redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 for iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G (works for iOS 4) – read here
