Asus inspired by Apple table rumors, working on its own tablet
December 13th, 2009 by Kunal

The most rumoured Apple product (iTablet/TabletMac) still remains a mystery. But all those rumors did get someone really inspired. We are talking about the aspirations of the Taiwan-based Asuteck Computers, or Asus.
DigiTimes claims that Asus is working on a tablet of its own, which is set to be called the Asus “Eee Pad”. The Eee Pad is rumored to feature a 4″ to 7″ wide screen. According to ‘industry sources”, the tablet will offer a combination of PC and MID functions. The source said that the alleged Asus tablet is an outcome of the inspirations from Apple tablet rumors.
With too many rumored and some officially announced tablets like the Vega Android tablet, it looks like the market will soon be flooded with tablets. While all those rumors couldn’t get Apple to talk about their tablet, at least the rumors did something useful. We just hope that the Asus tablet rumors are not a result of DigiTimes’ enthusiasm for the Apple tablet rumors.
