BlackBerry Leap To Be Available In India For Rs. 21,000

The Leap Smartphone was launched by Blackberry in New Delhi. This mid-ranged smartphone will be available in India after being launched in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year. The smartphones will be available in the market from next week. The Canadian based company have not revealed the range of this new 4G-enabled handset yet. Currently this phone is priced at $27, approximately Rs. 21,000.

blackberry_leapThe BlackBerry Leap is powered by a pretty older 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor. It sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280p, 294 PPI) touch display. The phone runs on a 1.5 GHz Dual-Core qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with an internal memory of 16GB which can then be expanded to 128GB via microSD card.

Running at 10 OS (version 10.3) Leap supports the Blackberry Blend Desktop software. Coming along with both the Amazon Appstore and BlackBerry World.

It features an 8MP rear camera. The camera supports flash and comes along with autofocus and also with a 1080p video capture. The front camera comes with a 2MP fixed-focus that supports 720p video recording.

The phone comes with a 2800mAh battery along with a claimed backup time of 25 hours if there is heavy use. The phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy. It along with it supports EDR, GPS, 4G (FD-LTE 1800MHz only) and FM radio.

Blackberry informs about the talks for the launch of the virtual SIM along the launch of the phone.
