It’s turning out to be a busy week for BlackBerry users around the globe. After the arrival of OS 6 for Bold 9700, Pearl 3G 9100 Pearl 9105 and the Curve 3G 9300 all of which received OS 6.0.0.344 as updates, its now the turn of Torch 9800 users to help themselves with an unofficial release of OS 6.0.0.377.
As mentioned above, this is an unofficial release that would require some self updating skills from you to complete the update procedure. There is no change-log for this unofficial update. So at this moment, we are unsure as to what the improvements on this one are. But folks over at CrackBerry are discussing the update over at their forums here
Before updating, make sure, you back up all you stuff on the Torch 9800 so that you won’t end up with a dud phone post the procedure. Oh and as always, you’re doing this at your own risk. The forum thread has the latest working download links as well.
