The IEEE fest of Student Branch of BVCOE, FERVOUR, is organized on an annual basis. This extravaganza witnesses some truly eye catching events and is held on a large and magnanimous scale. With a wide spectrum of activities, the fest draws massive participation not only from numerous Delhi and NCR colleges, but also from premier institutes all over the country.
The fest encompasses events ranging from technical to managerial, from literary to informal; thus providing the students with a perfect opportunity to portray their vivid capabilities and showcase their talents in various fields of learning.

We all know how bloggers are and how their lifestyle is. These people usually meet new friends, talk to them and visit new places on the net. As such a blogger at the end of the day hardly goes out of his room forget leaving his house. In that sense it was very different for me to imagine that there is a camp being held for bloggers and these species would actually leave the comfort of their house (I mean their desktops or laptops) and spend their whole day away from their systems and not blogging. So I expected a very few would turn up for the event. Imagine my surprise to see 100 odd people showing up at the venue. (Well obviously, I hardly knew about the event then.) (more…)

Remember Sony Ericsson’s motion sensing earphones? Well, they ain’t that cool anymore. NTT Docomo’s latest technological advancement is a pair of earphones that can be controlled by eye movements. With the help of special electrodes, the earphones are able to detect the charge between the cornea and the retina of the eye and thus understand the direction in which the eyes are moving. The amount of calibrated charge helps control the earphones. (more…)

Combining the stability of a Chopper and the efficiency of a aeroplane, the Humminger concept had won the Stage-I of DRDO Students Competition in 2008 ranking amongst top 10 of 272 teams across India. One of the many impressive views at the VJTI annual festival – Technovanza was the Rubik’s cube competition. Endorsed by the World Cube association the competition at Technovanza saw rubik’s enthusiasts from all over India going head to head. Having seen our friend Varun perform at Barcamp Mumbai 6 and later at Startup Saturday Mumbai, I was sure that he would be the show stopper out there. But then there were these magical kids who managed to show us such blackmagic that I got to say this – Your got to see this, to believe it!
