After the impressive show put up by Ovi Maps Nokia is trying to rake in some numbers by implementing the success formula with their Nokia Music store. DRM free music stores were something that Apple was pitching for since a long time. And its not very long ago that Apple’s iTunes store also went DRM free (in Jan to be precise). After that it becomes an obligation awful for others to follow suit.
Not only is the Nokia Music store is going DRM free, but they are integrating it within the Ovi brand. Yes now Nokia Music will be called Ovi Music. Nokia might well want to add mac compatibility to the mix aswell, but for now we have good enough news. One thing is for sure, no matter who wins the battle, the music lovers will only hear the beats.
