Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has hinted that a second model in addition to the Marathon M5 will be broadcasted at an event on Jun 10. The Marathon M5 model which is advertised with the tagline ‘Goodbye Power Bank’ will be accompanied by the showcasing of Elife E8 (dubbed to be).
Gionee, which is known for its extreme slimness and high battery backup, as displayed in Elife S5.5, Elife S7, Marathon M3, Marathon M5, etc. has shown interest in outplaying DSLR cameras by employing a technology that could display images of 120MP order with just a 23MP camera.
This appears to be an improbable task but certain proofs seem to back them up. Gionee‘s facebook page featured an image stating the E8 name (possibly the name of the next model) with 120Mpxl feature, a hint to the camera resolution .There are reports regarding the technology that is available to capture and produce image of 120MP order with 23MP camera resolution capability. The page also stated that the shutter speed and the focus speed will be far better than its previous models, as Gionee models stand out for their very low focus speed.
Some suggests that the technology will be the same as to Nokia’s Pureview, where extremely high-resolution images can be captured with a smartphone. Regarding other specifications, which got leaked from the TENNA regulatory board, are 3GB RAM, an Octa-core MediaTek processor for lag-free operation with a 6-inch broad screen multi-touch capability with Gorilla Glass 3 for physical protection of the handset.
It also has a 8MP front camera for taking selfies and groupies and a fingerprint sensor will be equipped on the model for enabling higher cryptographic securities. Finally the model will be launched on June 10 alongside with Marathon M4, with every Gionee supporters unanimously awaiting for their launch date.
