Google Android 3.0 ‘Gingerbread’ will arrive in Q4 2010

Google I/O 2010 was a mighty thing for the tech world as it had a lot to share about new technologies which would be now used in web development. Google also officially announced the Android 2.2 Froyowhich I believe is a genuinely brilliant update.

Now that we officially know about the Android 2.2 Froyo, it seems that Google has some really special announcement for the end of this year. We all know that WebM is a video format, and in their FAQ’s section of their website some new details of the Android 3.0 have been revealed. This is what it said;

 “When will other Google products support WebM and VP8?”

“WebM support in Android is expected in the Gingerbread release (currently planned for Q4, 2010). We expect many other Google products to adopt WebM and VP8 as they prioritize it with their other product requirements. Keep an eye on the WebM blog for announcements.”

Well, this totally gives us a rough date of when to expect the next Google Android build and I am extremely eager to take a look at it.
