October 25th, 2009 by Urmi

Google continues to strengthen its search reach and doesn’t forget its mobile phone users, with the introduction of the ‘Google Custom Search’. Website owners can now insert Google-powered search boxes into their sites, with query results being modified for the user-specific handset.
Rajat Mukherjee, Group Product Manager, Search, adds in a blog post that, when users search on different websites on an Android-powered phone, iPhone, iPod Touch, or Palm Pre, they “can be redirected to a Google-hosted Custom Search mobile results page created specifically for your Custom Search engine”.
You can find more details on the Custom Search efforts, along with knowing how to configure your handset to get the most out of this service, at the Custom Search blog.
