March 15th, 2009 by Kunal

Google is all set to convert all your voicemails into text/emails with the launch of its latest service called the Google Voice. The technology used by google is from Grand Central Communications which was acquired by google in 2007.
Google launched the service for the users of Grand Central in the US on Thursday and the service will be available to other users in the coming weeks. In US, Google Voice creates a single Google number. All your home and office voicemails and cell numbers can be routed to this number.
Google is now working on regional accents to make the service more effective and global.A single Google number would be really convenient plus with all voicemails converted to text, you can google your voicemail.
Google also makes money from selling enterprise versions of its applications to corporations. But Walker said the current priority is to make Google Voice a success as a free consumer product. [Source]
- Apparently 98% of Google’s revenues currently comes from Ads. The key to Google Adsense success is the display of relevant Ads. And displaying relevant Ads really requires a good understanding of user behaviour and need; which Google fulfills with its free services.
