HTC has filed for the trademark name ‘HTC Scribe’ which could be the name of its first Android tablet. The trademark application describes the device as, ”handheld wireless device, namely, a tablet computer”.
HTC’s android tablet is so far rumored to be powered by Nvidia’s dual-core processor, featuring a 1280X720 pixels multi-touch display (7″), WiFi, GPS, 2GB on-board memory and upto 32GB microSD support. Digitimes backs up the Scribe rumor with a twist which claims that the tablet would come up at MWC (Barcelona, Feb) and not CES 2011. The reason for this is pretty clear, Google’s Honeycomb love exclusively going to Motorola at CES. We’ll keep you posted.
