The rumored brew-based HTC phone (previously known as Touch.B) has been officially announced by HTC at the ongoing CES 2010. Dubbed HTC Smart, the phone would be the first from HTC based on Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform. The phone clubs the HTC Sense UI (seen in Hero) with Qualcomm’s Brew platform.
The key specifications of the HTC Smart are -
- 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen display
- 3MP camera with flash
- 300MHz processor
- 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM memory
- GSM and HSDPA connectivity
- Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
- 3.5mm headset jack
- mini-USB 2.0
- MicroSD card support
The HTC Smart is a mid-range phone with average specifications and makes it clear that HTC isn’t sticking to just Windows Mobile and Android for now. No news on pricing and availability announced during the launch.
