The Taiwanese mobile manufacturing giant HTC has come up with a new launch recently in its Butterfly Series, the HTC J Butterfly (HTV31).This device promises to combine features of the HTC ONE M9 and its successor HTC ONE M9+ and will be sold in Japan exclusively by a Japanese carrier.
So, lets begin with the build of this device. To start off, It measures 151x73x10.mm and weighs 162 grams. Although it is dust-proof and waterproof, make a note that this device does not have a metallic body but has a plastic body. The overall form factor looks good with rounded edges and a 5.2 inch crisp display. It is also powered with Beats Audio to have a unmatched music experience.
Moving ahead to the hardware of the device, It comes with a 64 bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core chip similar to the HTC ONE M9. The chip is coupled with a 3GB RAM.The device comes with a 32GB internal storage and it can be expanded via microSD card upto 200 GB. It has a 5.2inch qHD display with a pixel density of a whopping 565 ppi.
The optics are well built with a 20.2 megapixel rear snapper coupled with a dual-LED flash and a 13 megapixel front snapper for all the SELFIE lovers. Coming to the software specifications, this smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with HTC’s customized Sense 7 UI running on top of it.
The device supports LTE connectivity (Japan) apart from the regular 3G connectivity along with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS,GPRS/EDGE. The HTC J Butterfly boasts of a 2700mAh battery, which we think is little too less for a device of this screen size. It would be great if it had around 3500mAh of battery. The device also comes with quick charging feature that helps the user by charging quickly comparatively than other devices
