ioSafe have developed the toughest SSD in the world. The Solo SSD can resist extreme fire, water and some seriously extreme shocks. ioSafe guarantees that the Solo SSD can survive fire upto 1550° Farenheit for 30 minutes, can be submerged under water upto 30 ft for upto 30 days and can even survive a two storey building collapse over it.

- Burned, battered and bruised but still working
The developers of this SSD are quite serious about their claims and even arranged for a demo during the CES 2010. They set the device on fire, then submerged it into water and even drove a 35,000 pound tractor over it. The ioSAfe guys then retrieved all the data that was stored in the SSD before it was put through the test. Below is a video showing the demo of the Solo SSD put to the test under the rummaging tractor.
Guess this one would survive even Ankurs’ bad driving as well. Has to be really tough!
The Solo SSD would be available in three variants from Feb 2010. The 64GB model would be available for $499, 128GB model for $749 and 256GB model for $1,250.
