Is fingerprint security the next step for handhelds?

How commonly do you hear a friend loosing a cellphone? Are these mobile tracking softwares really working? For years companied have tried hard to secure your handheld device. However its not easy with hackers always managing to break free. We have certainly seen some promising technology in development, and now manufacturers have gone a step further with fingerprint recognition in such devices.
