Lenovo Launches a Slew of Computers at Various Price Points

Lenovo held an event in Mumbai for the launch of new sleek laptops under  their Thin and Light campaign. The Yoga and the Flex series now have a new additions in the form of the Yoga 2 and the Flex 2 while the All In One (AIO) segment got an entry level entrant, the C260. Everyday and the mainstream laptops saw the introduction of the G40/50 and the Z50 with the Y 50 in the gaming series. The new mantra for Lenovo is “ Slim, Light and  Affordable” and all these devices reflect their philosophy. These are the following products that were showcased:

• Lenovo Yoga 2 convertible ultrabook: Yoga 2 brings affordable multimode computing into reach. The budget-friendly Yoga 2’s 10-point multi-touch display flips back 360 degrees to offer four different usage modes — Laptop, Tablet, Stand, and Tent. The ultrabook is expected to come with a Hybrid Drive, 500GB + 8GB SSD and the i5 based model starts at Rs 59,990

• Lenovo Flex 2 (14 inch): Budget-friendly multimode computing is here at last in the Lenovo Flex 2 (14 inch), a 14” dual-mode laptop with a touchscreen that flips 300 degrees from laptop to stand mode. The laptop has backlit keyboard and comes in graphite grey colour. The laptop will also be available in Yellow and Red to add to the funky character of the Flex 2. The device is priced at Rs 41,990.

• Lenovo G40/G50: A thin and light laptop with GIGALAN support, Lenovo G50 laptop PC combines a slim design with a comprehensive set of features, including a DVD drive and claims great performance from its AMD processor. It has integrated Dolby advanced audio and comes in Ebony black and silver options. Select variants will come with 2GB graphics from AMD, the G range starts from Rs. 22,990.

• Lenovo Z50: A multimedia notebook offering a good balance between features & performance. The 15.6″ HD display notebook features an AccuType keyboard that boasts a modern look and feel with flatter, slightly curved keys that enhance comfort while increasing typing accuracy. Equipped with Dolby advanced audio, the notebook comes in silver and white options. The Z50 has 2 processor options, Intel i5 and Intel i7 and comes with a 1TB HDD. The laptop range starts at Rs 39,990.

• Lenovo C260: The 19.5” all-in-one C260 is the latest entrant in the Lenovo AIO family. Sleek and responsive, it’s great for home entertainment and is very affordable. With Lenovo Assistant managing files is easy, while upgrading storage or memory is tool-free. The All In One has two variants to choose from, a Celeron Dual Core and a Pentium Quad Core. These variants come with set configurations and cannot be customized.  The Lenovo C260 starts from Rs 28,490 and a touchscreen option is available.
