LG delays its tablet, waiting for Android 3.0

Not too long back LG had boldly announced its plans for an Android tablet that would be better than the Apple iPad and it seems that they have now realised what iOS is to iPad now. After teasing the market with bold claims, LG is now delaying its Android tablet (Optimus Pad) and waiting for the Android v3.0 aka Gingerbread to come out. Google has already clarified its stand that Android 2.2 (Froyo) isn’t means for tablets and we already know that many others are working with Google to get a killer tablet out as soon as Gingerbread (Android 3.0) comes out. And just for records its not the first time that LG is canceling / delaying a tablet. The GW990 announced back in MWC was shelved before release aswell.

We appreciate the fact that LG went out with a bold target and prefers to wait for a better OS rather than shipping a half baked product. But for now it seems that the only respectable Android tablet out in the market would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab. However a game changer would only come with Android 3.0 it seems.
