LG eXpo loaded with 1GHz processor, biometric security
December 2nd, 2009 by Kunal

LG is coming up strongly in the smartphone race (at least they claim so) with an aim to be the best in the industry. LG has a number of smartphones available in the market and a lot others lined-up for their release. It seems that LG has realised the latest buzz about the phones featuring 1GHz snapdragon processors and is all set to compete in this segment with a feature-packed LG eXpo. The only problem is that they don’t understand the power of quality OS, good enough tech rules for them

The eXpo boast of a number of features including the Qualcomm 1GHz processor. The phone is also the first to support a detachable pico projector. The projector can be attached on the backside of the phone which can project presentations, videos, slideshows etc. from the mobile phone. Another unique feature of the LG eXpo is the d-pad cum fingerprint reader. The sensor allows biometric security (YES) and doubles as a 5-way scrolling D-pad.
The LG eXpo is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional and features 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY, a 5MP camera, microSD support upto 16GB, WiFi and Bluetooth.
The LG eXpo will be available online from December 7 (right in-time to cash in on the holiday season buzz). LG eXpo already has a product page up and running. The phone will be available with AT&T $199.99 with a mail-in rebate and new two-year contract. The optional projector would be available in a few weeks for $179.99.
