LG introduces third Cookie phone – Cookie Fresh GS290

It would not be wrong to say that LG was the first to introduce economy touchscreen smartphones. LG managed to create a new segment with LG Cookie. The segment also has developed interest by many other cellphone manufacturers like Samsung with its Corby and now Nokia introducing the C-Series. After LG Cookie and LG Cookie Plus GS500, now there is a new member under the Cookie umbrella - LG Cookie Fresh GS290.

LG Cookie Fresh would be more affordable than the other two in the series. It is expected to be available for under £100. The specifications known are -

• 3″ resistive touchscreen display
• 2MP camera
• 3.5 mm jack
• Live Square
• FM radio
• Built-in social networking apps
• Bluetooth
• microSD support

LG Cookie Fresh would be available in 10 different color options. It would be available in Europe and Asia later this month.
