In July, Meizu had launched the Meizu PRO 7 and Meizu PRO 7 Plus smartphones. Today, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced the only the Meizu PRO 7 smartphone in India. The major highlight of the PRO 7 is that it is equipped with dual rear cameras and dual displays.
Meizu PRO 7 Specifications and Features
The Meizu PRO 7 features a metal unibody chassis that measures 147.62 x 70.72 x 7.3 mm and it weighs 163 grams. It has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Since the smartphone was launched before the 18:9 aspect ratio display gained popularity, it supports the conventional aspect ratio of 16:9.
The second display that is present on the backside of the phone is dubbed as “Fenêtre” display by Meizu. The small-sized AMOLED screen offers a screen resolution of 536 x 240 pixels. Fenêtre is a French word for window. The additional display can be used for viewing notifications, weather, date/time, battery capacity and it can be also used as viewfinder to capture selfie shot using the dual rear cameras.
The MediaTek Helio P25 chipset powers the smartphone along with 4 GB of LPDDR4X. It has an internal storage of 64 GB. For expanding the storage further, it features a microSD card slot. The backside of the phone is fitted with a fingerprint scanner. It is equipped with Cirrus Logic CS43130 audio chips and Smart PA chip for security. It has an mCharge fast charging enabled battery of 3,000mAh capacity.
The rear side of the Meizu PRO 7 features Sony IMX386 12-megapixel dual camera sensors that is protected by 6p lens. It can capture amazing portrait shots with desired blurring effect. The frontside of the phone includes a 16-megapixel f/2.0 aperture front-facing camera that can capture optimized selfie shots. The other features of the Meizu PRO 7 include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 4.2 and Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Meizu PRO 7 Pricing and Availability
The Meizu PRO 7 is exclusively available on Amazon India with a price tag of Rs. 22,999. It is only available in Black color. According to Meizu’s official Twitter post, the PRO 7 is available in limited quantity on the retailer site.
The PRO 7 Plus is also listed on the official website of the company and Amazon India. However, the PRO 7 Plus is listed with a pricing of Rs. 58,500 which is over twice the amount of PRO 7 phone. Hence, it seems that it is not the correct pricing of the phone. The company may announce its arrival at some point in the near future.
