Micromax A110 Canvas 2 Hands On, Photos and Video

Micromax, which has been until now traditionally known to flood the market with affordable, dual SIM featurephones seems to have changed its tracks. For the good. It was almost two years ago that it started offering dual SIM handsets based on Android- and boy! Have they come a long way since then! Today we are taking a quick look at the Micromax A110 Canvas 2. The Canvas 2 boasts of some cool specifications and an even cooler price  Let’s now delve slightly deeper in to the features of this phone.

Under the hood of this phone is a Mediatek Dual Core processor chugging away at 1Ghz. There is 512 MB of RAM as well.  Like I said, this is a quick hands on of the device along with a few photographs. We would of course be doing a detailed review very soon.

 Looks

The A110 is quite a big phone. It looks quite similar to the famed Galaxy S III from Samsung – which we believe has been a deliberate attempt by Micromax. The A110 is however much bigger in size.  I was quite happy with the build quality of the phone – although the back cover at the back did give me a brief moment of worry when I tried to pry it open to change the battery.  Here are a few pictures of the device from various angles.

The top of the device houses the 3.5 mm audio jack and the standard micro USB port.

The 8 megapixel camera at the rear takes decent pictures – but not very impressive for an 8 megapixel shooter

Here are a few more angles.

Here’s a brief hands on video of the same device. We will be doing a detailed review of the same very soon. Watch this space!
