Update: Microsoft looking to rebrand Windows Mobile as Windows Phones?
July 30th, 2009 by Annkur
Feb 2009: Seems like Microsoft has realised that more than version nos and names their softwares need to deliver. It is rumored that with the launch of WM 6.5 at MWC later this month, Microsoft would stop referring to devices as Windows Mobile and simply call them Windows Phones (without referring to the version no).
Probably they would start using only firmware versions like Apple iPhone…
Update: Its official, Windows Mobile brand is now dead. Microsoft has officially termed all WM 6.x devices as ‘Windows Phone’.
