Is Microsoft Windows 10 The Final Version Of Windows OS?

Microsoft Employee, Jerry Nixon, said that the Windows 10 is being released and since this version is the latest one they are still working in it. Nixon continued to explain how Windows 8.1 was being released last year but they were already working on Windows 10 and it’s developing.

Windows 10 won’t be having any major updates allowing the Microsoft employees talking about it freely. Having no major updates or future versions in this update, it was assumed that Microsoft is ending Windows. Microsoft is presenting the idea of  “Windows as a service” making the reality more complicated and widely misunderstood.

Giving no details about how the company will continue with the future versions of Windows there are rumors that there won’t be any new versions, at least, anytime soon. Microsoft have completely altered the way it engineers and delivers Windows. The first of this new altered wayis Windows 10. Unlike the usual big releases there will be only regular improvements and updates. Achieving this by splitting up operating system components, that can be independently updated to the entire Windows core operating system, like the Start Menu and built-in apps. Microsoft has ensured that it spans across multiple device types handling this big undertaking.

The world might witness the results in the next upcoming months, Microsoft is ready with a number of services and applications that powers the Windows 10. The company is still testing the preview builds with willing participants . The regular updates have been engineered in applications like the Xbox and the Mail. Unlike the huge releases every few years Windows 10 and Office will also be regularly updated, just like the mobile version.

There won’t be any big launches or major updates with Windows every few years but there will be updates with version numbers that usually nobody pays attention to like the Google Chrome’s update. For now, Microsoft won’t probably opt for big major versions of Windows. They could go for Windows 11 or 12 but if the regular updates for Windows 10 work well then the world will have to settle for ‘Windows’ as there won’t be any more versions.
