Motorola Atrix gets its first Custom ROM

We had reported some days back that the motrola atrix got root access and it would take the developers only a few days to put a custom ROM on the Atrix and Xda Member Design gears has managed to boot what looks like the first custom ROM on the Motorola Atrix.

This ROM can be flashed by both Rooted and non-rooted users and its called the Adeo ROM. The ROM is Deodexed, reboot option has been added while power off, reboot to recovery option has been added during power off, Ad Blocking has been added, power options header has been removed.

How to Flash this ROM:
Note: Do Not do a factory reset if something goes wrong which will result in a soft brick. Do not try this if you dont know ADB, because if you brick then you will have to use ADB to fix it! Do Not pull the battery, while installing!! Never Ever!! Be patient always!!

Requirements:

Download AdeoInstallerv0.1.7z, Adeoupdaterv0.1.7z from here http://www.ponack.net/designgears/atrix/

Procedure:

  • Please read the Note above carefully
  • Download the above files
  • Connect your phone to the PC via USB with ADB enabled
  • Run Install.bat from the unzipped files from above wait untill the phone reboots and be patient it will take upto 5 minutes
