Here are some cool Keyboard shortcut combinations for Windows users. So go ahead take the shortcut and save some time!

Keyboard Shortcuts Using the Windows Key:

  • WinKey (Display or hide the Start menu)
  • WinKey + Break (Display the System Properties dialog box)
  • WinKey +D (Display the desktop)
  • WinKey +M (Minimize all of the windows)
  • WinKey +SHIFT+M (Restore the minimized windows)
  • WinKey +E (Open My Computer)
  • WinKey +F (Search for a file or a folder)
  • Ctrl+ WinKey +F (Search for computers)
  • WinKey +F1 (Display Windows Help)
  • WinKey + L (Lock the keyboard)
  • WinKey +R (Open the Run dialog box)
  • WinKey +U (Open Utility Manager)

Shortcuts for Windows Explorer

  • END (Display bottom of the active window)
  • HOME (Display the top of the active window)
  • NUMLOCK+Asterisk sign (*) (Display all of the subfolders that are under the folder selected)
  • NUMLOCK+Plus sign (+) (Display the contents of the selected folder)
  • NUMLOCK+Minus sign (-) (Collapse the selected folder)
  • LEFT ARROW (Collapse the current selection if it is expanded, or select the parent folder)
  • RIGHT ARROW (Display the current selection if it is collapsed, or select the first subfolder)

The Classics:

  • Alt + Tab: Switch between windows
  • Tab: To jump links/fields in a webpage || Use Shift+TAB to reverse
  • In Firefox: Ctrl+Tab to switch tabs, Use Ctrl+Shift+Tab to reverse!
  • F5: Refresh / Reload the page or desktop
  • Esc: Cancel the task, Stop loading webpage
  • F2: Rename the selected file / folder
  • CTRL+C (Copy – File or text)
  • CTRL+X (Cut – File or text)
  • CTRL+V (Paste – File or text)
  • CTRL+Z (Undo – File or text)
