Neofonie’s WePad now official [Video]

The 11.6″ Android tablet which is by far the closest competitor to the Apple’s iPad, is now official. Neofonie has finally showed their WePad tablet at a press conference in Berlin, Germany. The members of Netbooknews.de and AndroidPIT spent some time with the tablet (videos below). The video shows the functioning of the touch screen, playing YouTube videos on the tablet and some other functionalities. For those who know German, do tell us more about the tablet by the time we dig some more info about the tablet for you.

WePad runs Android and the videos are encouraging. If there anything apart from the HP Slate that we have seen working to satisfaction, its the WePad. After spending some good time with the iPad, I have started to believe that the ability to freely save data on the device, multitask and a non metal design would work better for on ground usage.
