December 20th, 2009 by Annkur

Intel in informing the tech world to gear up for its Postviller Refresh in Q4 2010 that will bring Solid Stage Drives of capacity upto 600GB. The drives would be based on the same X-25m SATA drives, but is said to be smaller than 34nm.
Currently Intel SSD’s based on X-25m (2.5″) are available in 80GB and 160GB versions. The newer ones are expected to be built with a 2xnm process and might be 28nm or smaller. With the capacity going upto 600GB we can expect netbooks and notebooks to offer great upgrades. Hope we can get the Pure Silicon 1TB NITRO SSD to launch a consumer version soon which the big boys currently enjoy.
