Snapdeal puts Nokia Lumia 1020 for pre-order in India; Sold Out

Launched in the US on July 11, Nokia’s new flagship Lumia 1020 was announced with a 41-megapixel camera. As Nokia is all set to announce its flagship and successor to the Nokia Pureview 808 in India; online retailer Snapdeal is taking pre-orders for the Lumia 1020. As of now, it is only available in White. Snapdeal has also stated that the device will be available for purchase after it gets released in India on the first week of October.

Snapdeal is taking pre-orders with an advance payment of Rs. 2,000/-, while the remaining amount can be paid after the device is available. The price of the device has not been mentioned, we expect it to be priced near the Rs. 40,000/- mark. However, when we checked the website it stated that the device is now sold-out and pre-orders have closed.

The device specifications are as follows: The Nokia’s Lumia 1020 is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor supported by Adreno 225 GPU. It has an inbuilt storage of 32 GB with a 2GB of RAM. The screen is a 4.5 inch AMOLED with a 768 x 1280 pixels, (~332 ppi pixel density) along with PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen for protection.

The USP of the phone of course is its rear camera 41-megapixel PureView camera with Xenon flash, Carl Zeiss Tessar Lens, Optical Image Stabilization and loads of other features that can also record full HD i.e 1080p (1920 x 1080) videos at 30 fps. The secondary front camera is a 1.3 MP that can record 720p HD video. The device gets its juice from the Non-removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.

It also comes with other photography friendly applications like Pro Camera, Smart Camera, Creative Studio, Cinemagraph, Photo Beamer, Glam Me Lens and more that can simply excite shutter bugs and take mobile photography to the next level.
