Nokia preparing WiMax products

Nokia is all set to unveil its range ofWiMax enabled products (N-series internet tablets) early next year (2008). Consideringthe fact that WiMax in Centrino laptops is also expected sometime in 2008,Nokia sure is working hard to get the technology to its product line beforeanyone else.

WiMaxis a wide area networking technology which facilitates faster transfers than 3Gand has a wider range than WiFi. Nokia is all set to sourceits mobile WiMax chips form Intel.

Nokia?s current offering as internet tabletN800 features WiFi and Bluetooth. These internet tablets works on Linux OS.
