Micromax Q55 Bling a cute, feminine, diamond studded phone looking all white and flashy! Well the stunning looks throw a massive expectation of it being a good phone, but we don’t think it lived up to it. The Micromax Q55 is quite similar to the Nokia Twist and Motorola Flipout but unlike both the phones this one is targeted towards the ladies! Not immensely rich on features and we are pretty sure that this phone will only be sold for its looks.
The phone is designed to appeal the girls, it has a mirror behind the screen which makes it very obvious. It unveils a large QWERTY keypad by flipping the phone open, when opened it is a bit bigger than the Nokia E71. The backlit QWERTY keyboard is much more impressive than the Q7 we saw but then the weird design of the handset makes it a strict women piece. The usual suspects in a micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack are present.
As expected the Q55 isn’t that deep when it comes to feature set. An ordinary 10 mb internal memory (expandable using the MicroSD slot), an Opera Mini that won’t work for any other sites than the bookmark (updating to Opera Mini 5 helps) also we are not able to get the GPRS working on this phone. The audio output is not that impressive, when it comes to the loud speaker the sound level is low, and the bass is replaced by a lot of boom, while the earphones are just about decent. The 2 megapixel camera is not exceptionally great (see the output in the Q7 review). Also, the camera doesn’t function unless you have the slider open (even though the camera is visible on the back cover). The Micromax Q55 Bling does not have WiFi, and I really doubt if the target market here in this price range even bothers about it.
Though the Q55 has a subjective but sturdy design, I don’t see too many young girls around me who are addicted to heavy messaging and calling will find this phone to be a dependable handset. Why not go for the Nokia C3? or any other low range Symbian that will give more SMS storage and reliability. My mom might like this, only if she can handle the big design and accept the QWERTY (which I don’t see happening).

you should’nt be worried whether the phone is made in china . even the iphone is made in china . the phone appearance and quality is good , the slide is smoother than any other phone available . music output is good. radio quality with the headset is impeccable. Downhills- user interface is not as good as nokia,samsung or any other phone. don expect to see videos either . i feel its worth a buy given its 5k pricetag

I see a lot of mismanaged information here. first thing..the phone has got impeccable looks its the only handset which get s second look no matter where you are.. doesnt matter if the people besides u r holding iphones!..

3. the sound quality with earphone is as rocking as some sony explod speakers..!! its is just too good which honestly i was not expecting as its audio is low on the speakers..
4. Camera quality is pretty good unless hey! i have my own camera for photography! how much can we expect in 5.5K? there are 20K phones being launched with 3 or 5 mp..

its awesome screen width made me desire to get the internet pack on it.. and text pages are displayed very nicely in a very ordered manner on it..

gals its a gr8 phone i miss wi-fi and wished they allowed user ringtones for msg too.. and there was lot mroe space for msgs 🙂 m lovin texting now:)

MicroMax is an Indian co still I dunn much abou it… I know nothing of its services or warranty as well….
I will suggest you not to be overly excited (as me) and inquire everything before purchasing it….

My opinion: buy the phone if you are a girl…and you want something flashy…and you dont really care about features. I got this phone as a gift but as someone who loves the internet, I hate one thing about the phone: I cant download java apps directly.

hi everyone.. well apparently i brought this phone to my girlfriend because she just loves it so much and i think its a girly phone to use. and specially meant for these teeny girls who wants to get there glam outa that. my opinion on this would be the greatest for a girl cuz of its looks. and messaging is so easy cuz of its qwerty tech.!! and also most of the girls do not need much of tech used to it but since there is facebook and twitter better worth it as well. and girls just dont get the idea that it is not a good phone.. it certainly is..

this a a third class mobile, now durable, camera quality is not satisfactory, voice not clear, not able to read both sims, I purchased it , but I was not aware that within a week you can get is replaced, now from last two months the set is lying at service centre with one or the other problem.

Q55 bling cell is wid u till nw?
Not recommended im from the UK. I brought this from india when i was on holiday there as you can’t get phones like the Q55 Bling in the UK. I can’t get access to the internet even though i have internet aspart of my phone contract. The camera is crap and the message storage is small so i have to keep deleting messages for me to receieve new messages. I recommend every1 considering to purchase it to basically not.
