Orkut tightens Anti-Spam measures !

Orkut has constantly been under fire for lack of safety and privacy. Cyber crimes have been on a rise using social networking sites like Orkut. But is Orkut really that unsafe? There are numerous options to safeguard oneself on Orkut. Its just that the users have been careless and ignorant about their own privacy. Youngsters go hunting for casual chat and dating on such social networking sites, often landing in trouble.
Users on Orkut have an option to make minimum disclosures to people whom they have not added as friends. Even the controversial open scrapbook can be hidden from strangers. With this users can use Orkut to restrict themselves to their family and friends only.
Recently Orkut has stepped up its anti-spam measures with easy reporting buttons for individual scraps and posts. This measure will hopefully take down the load from community owners and help Orkut to recognize spam easily.
