Panasonic Debuts P51 Android Smartphone In India

Panansonic India has announced the launch of the P51 – an Android   powered smartphone in the country. The first in a series of new Android handsets that the Japanese company plans to bring here, the P51 the company says “is targeted at the young generation – the always-on-the-go college youth, and the premium executive class, who is always on the lookout for better, faster and savvier smart phones on the go”.

Lets take a look at what the phone has on offer. We start with the display which in this case happens to be a 5 inch panel with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the hood is a Quad Core 1.2GHz processor which is mated to a hardly modified Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) version. The device sports an 8MP camera (auto focus with flash) and a 1.3 megapixel 720p HD front camera as well. The processor is supported with 1 GB worth of RAM. There is 4 GB of internal memory which can be expanded further using micro SD cards.

The phone tips the scales at 135 grams and measures 144 x 75 x 8.5 mm across. Powering this hardware is a 2,500mAh battery which with optimal usage can help you last an entire day.

In India, the Panasonic P51 is priced at INR 26,900 and would also include a bunch of freebies like a magnetic flip cover and a stylus. It is slated to go on sale starting next week.
