Qlocktwo is a not round, no hands clock

When it comes to talking about a wall clock, some of the more “normal” features that would be mentioned include: its shape (round), display (in numbers), display method (the clock hands) and of course, the actual time. The Qlocktwo has all these features but with snazzy differences.
The out of the box-designed Qlocktwo is a stylishly square wall clock designed by Biegert & Funk. The clock has no hands and shows time by brightened alphabets. Time is displayed after certain intervals and is always accurate, because of the clock adjusting to a certain DCF-77 central European time signal. If you want to know how much time has passed between the updates, dots at the corners of the clock will show the time gone by between the five-minute intervals.
Interchangeable face plates also provides color options so that the Qlocktwo can match either your changing mood or house and wall colours. The product description video, in German with English subtitles, is available at the end of this post.
There are 110 LEDs hidden behind the clock board. These LEDs get illuminated to spell out the exact time in spoken phrase forms, like “half past ten” or “quarter to twelve”. The brightness of the Qlocktwo can also be adjusted either manually or using the auto mode. The auto mode adjusts the clock brightness according to the amount of light present in the room.
The Qlocktwo is available for €885 through the product website. If you are still unsure of the clock’s unique features, the flash-based website should clear up most of your doubts. It matches your computer’s clock and shows the current time in the fun Qlocktwo format. This clock is also available as an iPhone application through Apple’s app store.
