Plastic Logic has revealed that they will be releasing a new eBook reader that is supposed to create its own niche within the ebook reader market. The eBook reader – “Que” – has been dubbed the first business eBook reader.

The press release from Plastic Logic calls Que the first ‘proReader’. The company has kept its business users in mind and especially the “professional newspapers, books and periodical”  that will be consumed. “Que supports the document formats business users need (including PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents) and features powerful tools for interacting with and managing the content.” as quoted in the press release.

Richard Archuleta, CEO of Plastic Logic, also adds: “The Que proReader enhances business performance and gives you a competitive edge. More than an eReader, Que means business.”

The Que Store will be featuring ebook’s from Barnes & Noble, the biggest rival to Amazon. And now Que could end up being the biggest rival to Amazon’s Kindle.

Que’s features are more or less the same as that of Kindle 2. The difference lies in the dimensions. Que is the largest ebook reader as well as the skinniest. The screen is 8.5″ x 11″ and the eBook reader is less than a third of an inch thick. This lightweight ebook reader also features WiFi and is 3G compatible.

The pricing and availability will be revealed at CES 2010 (January 7).
