Sakshat: The $10 Laptop that is not a Laptop
February 4th, 2009 by Annkur

We reported a few days back on Indian govt plans to reveal a Rs 500 ($10) laptop. And here is the Sakshat on display. It was speculated that this ultra cheap computer beats the OLPC by far in pricing and features 2GB memory, LAN and WiFi. Now here is the reality -
Shakshat is just a computing device that can store information, which can be accessed by user by connecting it to a laptop. Someone also claimed that this would help build a $60 laptop at some point in the future. But no answer to why this little one was hyped up as a LAPTOP??

That looks like a piece of rubbish
I heard about this a while back, did some Googling and found out that the so called laptop is actually a calculator, and not a very good one at that.
Why do people advertise such things, false advertisement. It destroys the image of the company that is making the stuff.
