Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Pre-orders Begin with Rs. 67,900 Pricing; Shipping Starts on 22nd September

Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Note 8 on 23rd August in New York, U.S. For Indian audience, the South Korean company had organized an exclusive event today for unveiling its flagship phablet. The pre-orders of the Note 8 have started in India and its shipments will begin in the next week.

The pre-registrations of the Galaxy Note 8 had started last week on Samsung India’s official site and Amazon India. The phablet has met with an overwhelming response as over 250,000 people have pre-registered it. Starting from today, Samsung’s official online store and Amazon India are receiving the pre-orders of Galaxy Note 8. The phablet is priced at Rs. 67,990 and the shipments of the pre-ordered units will start on 22nd September. The handset can be availed in colors like Midnight Black and Maple Gold.

Samsung is providing some exciting offers for customers who pre-book the Note 8. During the Note 8 pre-orders, customers will be provided with a wireless charger for free. These customers will be also eligible to benefit from a one-time screen replacement for Rs. 990.

Reliance Jio is offering 448 GB of 4G data and Jio Prime Membership for free during Note 8 pre-sales. HDFC credit card users can avail Rs. 4,000 cash back. Also, buyers can take advantage of no cost EMI and exchange offer.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch Infinity Display that produces a Quad HD+ resolution of 2,960 x 1,440 pixels. It supports an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The display is protected b Gorilla Glass 5.

The Snapdragon 835 powered Note 8 will be coming to the U.S. and China. Other markets including India are getting the Exynos 8995 chipset edition of the phablet. All chipset variants of the Note 8 include 6 GB of RAM.

The Indian market will be releasing the 64 GB storage variant. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on whether 128 GB and 256 GB storage models of Note 8 will be available in India. The phablet includes a dedicated external storage slot that supports up to 256 GB of microSD card. It is loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat that is customized with Samsung’s Experience UI.

The Galaxy Note 8 is the first ever smartphone from the company to come with dual rear cameras that comprises of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The rear-mounted dual cameras are enabled with dual OIS and dual LED flash. The two lenses are capable of snapping amazing shots in darker conditions and professional photos with bokeh effects. The Galaxy Note 8 is flanked with an 8-megapixel front camera.

The Note 8 has IP68 rated dust and water-resistant chassis that has a metallic frame sandwiched between glass panels on the front and rear sides. It is packed with 3,300mAh battery that carries support for Quick Charge 2.0. One of the USPs of the Note 8 is the S Pen stylus that functions like a real pen.

Other features of the Galaxy Note 8 include dual-SIM support, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ad, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, iris scanner, heart rate sensor and wireless charging. By using Samsung DeX station dock, users can connect the phablet to a larger display to enjoy full-fledged desktop experience.
