Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi Set for Mid-June Launch

With the Motorola Xoom in my hand I just cannot get enough of he tablet craze running through me especially with news of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 integrated with TouchWiz UX about to hit the market in June as a WiFi only version. Also known as the Samsung P7100 Tablet, it is certainly drawing a great battle with its main competitor Apple i.e iPad & iPad 2.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9

This SGT 10.1 is marginally less in weight and size when compared to both Apple products. It’s the first retail model integrated with TouchWiz UX running on Honeycomb (Android 3.0) in a thinner frame.

The WiFi 10.1 will hit on June 8th — the 16GB version will cost you $499 and the 32GB $599. The 8.9 is $469 and $569 for 16GB and 32GB, respectively as given during Samsung’s press conference of Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9.

The prices given by Samsung is certainly equivalent to Apple’s iPad’s. The size factor of these new tablets with improved technology clearly shows that Samsung’s Galaxy Tabs are in with a real chance of achieving great heights amongst Honeycomb tablets.
