Samsung introduces i899 for China

Samsung has unveiled yet another Android phone for the Chinese market. The Samsung i899 has been officially announced by the Samsung China wmkmebsite. The CDMA phone would be available with China Telecom. Like the Galaxy, it centers on a 3.2-inch AMOLED display but uses an older, less costly resistive touchscreen instead of the capacitive found on the Galaxy and Behold II.
The specifications of the phone are as follows -
- 3.2″ AMOLED resistive touchscreen, 320 x 480 pixels
- 3.2MP camera with auto-focus and flash
- Wi-Fi / WAPI
- GPS
- DivX support
- 3.5mm headset jack
- MicroSD support up to 32GB (512MB internal memory)
- USB 2.0
The Samsung i899 is expected to be available in China in early 2010.
