Samsung S8300 debuts in India

Announced just before Mobile World Congress 2009, Samsung’s S8300 debuts in India after about two months. S8300 is the world’s first AMOLED touch screen phone. The AMOLED technology ( active matrix on screen LED) give the screen a better brightness and contrast ratio at a 30-degree viewing.
Only 12.7mm thick S8300 features a 8MP camera. Here are the specs:
- 7.2 mbps HSDPA connectivity/GSM/UMTS
- 8mp camera with LED flash and smile shot mode
- GPS navigation with geo-tagging
- 60 MB internal memory and SD card expandable upto 16GB
- 2.8″ touch screen 16M colours
- FM radio
Samsung has ties up with BSNL to offer bundled packages with free sim card and 3G service packages. S8300 is available for sale in India at approx Rs. 28,750/- (Expect the street price to be below this).
