Samsung’s Android handset delayed!
February 13th, 2009 by Annkur

Bad news for Android fans expecting new releases at MWC next week. Apparently Samsung has delayed its Android phone to the second half of 2009. Samsung currently offers full touchscreen devices like the iPhone competitor Instinct and Windows Mobile powered Omnia; it is believed that Samsungs Android offering would be designed on similar lines.
But Younghee Lee, head of marketing at Samsung’s mobile device division, said there will be no Android phone at the show, but they are “planning internally” for a release in the second half of the year. She said the company is in negotiations with a number of operators about taking a Samsung-designed Android phone.
This is the second blow for Android following the delay of Australia-based Kogan Agora smart-phone due to “potential future interoperability issues.”
