Sega Back Into Gaming Business After 10 Years, Launches Urine Powered Games

Well, there was a time when the gaming hardware business was a very lucrative business with room for a lot of players. It is when; Sega was one of the established players in the gaming industry. But the market became too hot for them to handle as increased competition from the likes of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft forced them to exit.

But after a hiatus of about a decade, Sega is finally back, with a new kind of video game for the changing times. Called “Toylet”, it’s a video game which is powered by urine. Wait! Did we read that correctly? Okay, the system connects with a urinal allowing the users to play various video games while they (merrily) relieve themselves.

Urinating on a sensor connected to the main device activates the game screen placed right above the urinal, which offers a variety of games including, filling virtual coffee cans and blowing wind up a news readers dress. The Toylet costs roughly around $1,750 and each game is about $125 additional. The game is available in Japan.

I’m wondering if the game allows multiple users and the players to compete with each other as well. 😛

The above image shows the Toylet setup.

Here is a video demo of Toylet. Don’t worry it doesn’t feature the player in it. 😉
