March 6th, 2009 by Kunal
Imagine a headset that would produce not just audio and video but also smell, taste and touch. Sounds impossible? British scientist have already developed a prototype and are testing this headset.

- The headset is connected without wires to your computer
- It consist of a high definition screen to create moving pictures
- The surround speakers inside create the 3D sound experience
Chemicals are mixed to create taste and smell which are sprayed through a tube directly into your mouth and under your nose. The heat and humidity is controlled by a fan and a heater.

Imagine what all can you do with this headset. Revisit history, meet people at distant places with the feeling of being in front of them, exotic holidays sitting at your computer chair.
And just imagine if playing a game like Call of Duty with this headset on where you could actually smell the blood in the air, the smoke of a bullet shot, a cannon blast.
The British Scientist say that this device would be available in market about after 5 years. The estimated price is £1500.

I think I play Call of Duty because I don’t want to smell blood in the air. If I wanted that I would join the Army. Any side effects to the chemicals that are constantly blasted into your body?
