Shammi Kapoor’s, the Bollywood acting legend was quite an active Internet user. Being a fan, he was one of the few Bollywood people I used to follow on Twitter. While not frequent, he used to post from his Twitter account @shamsheraj occasionally.
While I frequently unfollow inactive people, as a mark of respect to the legend, I decided not to do so and was shocked to see a Tweet go through that account yesterday. This Tweet was the first tweet from that account since the last one made on 28 November 2010. I immediately tweeted it out to my followers.
Now, since this account is not a verified one, I had my moment of doubt whether this account was indeed of Shammi Kapoor. But the general consensus is that it indeed is since it is mentioned on Wikipedia and quite a few news sources, as well.
Anyway, if it indeed is, I hope people close to him would look in to this issue and fix this as soon as possible. Thankfully, the account hasn’t tweeted any links after that one particular tweet.
