Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Bootloader Finally Unlocked

Once More the developers have done something very great and have managed to unlock the bootloader of the Xperia X10. For those who did not know, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 came with an unlockable bootloader and though ROMs and recoveries could be flashed, people were not able to flash custom kernels on the device, but now the bootloader has been unlocked and if other Sony Ericsson devices are locked in the same manner it would be very simple to unlock them too so this is a hufe development for the Sony Ericsson fans.

Well we have also come to know that the first build of a kernel is out, it is the alpha version though we have heard that this kernel is super fast, it is not overclockable but it is rock solid and makes the work pretty smooth.

Flashing the alpha kernel:

Requirements:

  • Rooted Device
  • Baseband .52
  • 2.1 ROM compatible with .52 baseband
  • xRecovery
  • Download kernel from here

Now you can flash the kernel using xrecovery, if you don’t have xRecovery then you can check over here on how to flash xrecovery.
