Everyone knew that Android would not be limited to powering cellphones. Android powered netbooks and media players were anticipated even before the google OS picked up momentun. But, recently we have seen the OS powering a few not-s0-expected devices. Debuting at CeBIT is the DSP Multimedia Handset that saves you some embarrassment for ditching mobiles in favor of a landline. The DSP Multimedia Home phone sports a 3.5″ touch sceen and runs the Google Android OS ! Yes you heard it right. Cordless in nature the design is pretty neat and would have put to shame most mobile phones a few years back. The promo video below highlights Android apps, web surfing, email, picasa, youtube and even universal remote control and DLNA client.
The phone even features a accelerometer that lets you do more than just work on the phone

Btw: It is already confirmed that Dell is testing the Android platform on Netbooks. Earlier this year Acer made a jump to the smartphone market with its Windows Mobile powered Tempo series. Acer is also expected to release an Android based smartphone and Netbook by year end.
